'Coming 2 America' is #1 streamed movie of the opening weekend, and #1 opening weekend in the past 12 months when debuting on March 5, 2021 on Amazon Prime Video, according to Screen Engine/ASI. The internet was on fire with C2A TikTok Dance Challenge on its Virtual Premiere day, resulting 5.6 billion global views.
Available in theaters nationwide, 'Coming 2 America' achieved the highest opening in both Nigeria and South Africa since "Black Panther' in 2018. As of March 5, 2021, the movie is "the most talked about" film on Twitter to be released in 2021, according to social media data company Listen First.
